Just a quick note to say a big thank you to all the staff at KSA, our CVA was passed today by creditors voting in an overwhelming number including HMRC to accept the proposal as prepared by KSA.
The road to reach today’s conclusion has been bumpy, but at each stage your team has supported and guided us through the issues and we have reached a very satisfactory outcome to the benefit of customers, staff, all creditors and shareholders.
Company Rescue by London Based Insolvency Practitioners
If you're based in the capital and your company is struggling financially, it’s best to seek advice from a London-based Insolvency Practitioner from the KSA Group.
They will meet you in person to discuss your situation. They'll then formulate a viable restructuring plan that will benefit both you and your creditors.
If you decide to go ahead with this plan, your London-based Insolvency Practitioner can support you through a range of proceedings such as:
- Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA)
Your London-based Insolvency Practitioner will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. They'll also ensure that the things run as smoothly as possible.
When do you need an Insolvency Practitioner?
An Insolvency Practitioner (IP) is someone who’s licensed and authorised to act in relation to an insolvent individual, partnership or company.
Remember, the aim of a director and an Insolvency Practitioner is to preserve the interests of the creditors, not the company. They do this through either restructuring methods or formal insolvency proceedings.
You should contact your local Insolvency Practitioner as soon as you become aware that your company is approaching insolvency so that you can maximise creditors’ interests.
This will allow your Insolvency Practitioner more time to explore the potential options for your business. It will also act as proof that you, as a director, acted in an appropriate and timely manner. This is very important, especially if there is an investigation into directorial conduct later.
Remember, the earlier you ask for help, the more options will be available to you.
Why is it best to have a London-based Insolvency Practitioner?
When seeing insolvency advice, it's best to work with someone you can meet with at short notice to discuss your options.
If your company is based in London, or you deem this to be the most convenient place to meet regularly, a London-based Insolvency Practitioner is your best option.
You’ll be able to arrange meetings with them at short notice, they’ll be able to visit your company if necessary and they’ll also be available to attend court hearings if required.
Wayne Harrison - Director of Insolvency and Company Rescue in London
Leading the team is Wayne Harrison, a licensed Insolvency Practitioner who oversees all of Company Rescue’s operations in London. He has extensive experience in both corporate and personal insolvency.
In 2003, he joined the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA) to oversee the regulation of IPs across the UK. He was an essential part of the team that developed and implemented the ‘Better Regulation Framework’ which ensures that all Insolvency Practitioners adhere to best practice.
However, he really missed helping worried directors turn their fortunes around. So, he returned to insolvency practice with the KSA Group in 2009. Since then, he has given advice to many companies and supported them through their insolvency proceedings.
Wayne can see directors of companies in financial distress at our London office at very short notice. During these meetings, he will set out all the available options and advise on the next course of action.
