Motorbike insurer is in administration

Written by companyrescuelondonadmin 3 April 2017

Insurance and claims company, Bikers Legal Defence Ltd, went into administration on the 9th September after experiencing problems with cash flow and failing to find a suitable buyer.

With sites in Birmingham, Camberley and Cumbernauld, the company provides MOTs, bike repairs and servicing, trading as Ministry of Bikes, The MoB, Salvage Solutions, FI International and Altamura Concepts. According to their latest accounts, turnover to year ending October 2013 was £14.5 million.

Danny Dartnaill and Simon Girling from BDO were appointed joint administrators to the company and will now look to recover as much as possible for customers and creditors.

Unfortunately, the majority of the workforce was made redundant and the company ceased trading upon the appointment of BDO.

If you are an employee of the business, please listen to the video below as it will tell you your rights as an employee of an insolvent business. There is a link at the end of the video to the Government website which expands further on what you need to know. Any questions should be directed to BDO who are handling the administration.
