Installer for renewables developer business goes into liquidation

Freewatt Renewable Energy has gone into liquidation, resulting in 34 job losses. The installer arm of the business, Freewatt is the third to become insolvent in recent months after changes made by the government.

Its parent company, Freewatt Group continues to trade. 

CVR Global have been appointed as liquidators and will realise assets from the parent company to settle creditor claims.

CEO of Freewatt Group said in a statement, “Unfortunately, government policies, strategy for energy and lack of support for renewable technologies has meant that 34 highly-skilled staff have lost their jobs and the Freewatt installation company has shut down.”
