The firm behind the bomb scare at Old Trafford may be on the brink of liquidation after the incident cost the football club £3 million.

Security Search Management & Solutions had conducted a training session on the 11th May which involved fake bombs planted around the stadium. However, on Sunday 15th May, one was discovered in a bathroom during a football match – resulting in the evacuation of around 50,000 fans.

The match against Bournemouth was postponed and moved to today where fans can watch the match for free. A huge embarrassment to the security firm, the director has indicated the situation may result in cause the company to go into liquidation.
Chris Reid has taken full responsibility for the company’s mistake and has apologised to everyone involved.  He is waiting to hear from Manchester United regarding the incident.
