Push Doctor, the digital GP platform backed by taxpayers, nears administration.
Accountancy firm, BDO has been advising Push Doctor and are currently in talks with Square Health, the privately owned healthcare services provider. It could lead to a pre-pack administration sale to save Push Doctor from insolvency.
Note, a pre-pack is a process where a company can be sold free from any of its past financial debts.
The platform provides services to around 6 million people across the UK. It was founded in 2013 and in the company’s life, it has been described as Europe’s largest digital health provider. It works with nearly 90 GPs and has approximately 100 employees.
Among Square Health, it has been heard that Boots and Babylon have also expressed interest.
