A call centre company based in Manchester has gone into administration, resulting in 100 employees being made redundant.
Administrators, ReSolve Partners, were appointed last Friday (17th July) and told staff of the company’s situation, confirming the call centre is to close on 14th August.
Broadcasting Support Services (BBS) runs helplines for charities including Mind, the Eczema Helpline and Action Fraud. The company also set up an emergency helpline for Manchester Dogs Home after the fire last year. It has been reported offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow will be closed down too.
Employees are currently applying for a Protective Award which includes eight weeks pay provided by the government if the redundancy notice is deemed too short.
If you are an employee of the business, please listen to the video below as it will tell you your rights as an employee of an insolvent business. There is a link at the end of the video to the Government website which expands further on what you need to know. We are not involved in the administration and questions should be directed to ReSolve who are handling the administration.
