Pharmacy Plus is in administration

21-May-2014
The Bristol-based pharmacy, a supplier of medicine to the NHS and care homes, has entered administration, putting 240 jobs at risk. Pharmacy Plus appointed joint administrators, L A Causer, R K Grant and A C O’Keefe of Zolfo Cooper on Monday (19th May).

The company has reportedly struggled with cashflow and has had difficulty finding its own suppliers, resulting in failed attempts to find a suitable buyer as a going concern.

A statement on their website reads, ‘The affairs, business and property of the Company are being managed by the Joint Administrators who act as agents of the Company and without personal liability’.

Joint administrator, R K Grant, commented, “We are working closely with the NHS to seek to ensure minimal disruption to the company’s care home customers and to enable them to obtain patient prescriptions from alternative sources.”

UPDATE - 27th May: Assets specialist, Metis Partners, has put the intellectual property of Pharmacy Plus on the market (under Zolfo Cooper's instructions). There is expected to be a lot of interest in the assets, which includes management systems and software, but potential buyers must be quick as the offer deadline is tomorrow at noon (28th May 2014).

If you would like more information, contact Linda Shannon from Metis Partners on 0141 353 3011.

We are not involved in the administration and questions should be directed to Zolfo Cooper who are handling the administration. If you are an employee of the business, please listen to the video below which explains your rights as an employee of an insolvent business.
