Having established the company’s position and your personal and business objectives you are now ready to consider the options available. Consider each carefully and examine the relevance to your business and its circumstances.

The guides to options available to companies in distress have been built with the end user in mind, wherever possible we avoid use of the legal jargon that can annoy people in your position But it is vitally important to READ the contents of each of the options.

If this is too time consuming or too boring or you just want a pictorial view, look at the flowcharts first. Prior to making a decision you MUST look at the options and learn as much as possible rather than have a receiver, bailiff or bank manager pushing you into a position you don’t understand. It is better to be in control of YOUR OWN destiny than have your business, your livelihood or even your house taken away from you because you would not act, listen or learn. This may seem harsh and brutal, but if you have signed security documents on behalf of your company, personal guarantees to support the company lending or have not acted properly - then you potentially face the loss of your business, your home, possibly your personal relationships and personal bankruptcy.
