With regards to debtors, its your money, so make sure you chase it in hard every time. Set up a debt collection policy, make sure someone is responsible for chasing debt every day. Send your trading policy it to all customers, tell them our terms of trade are (say) 30 days. Then call them 14 days before payment is due and ask if everything is ok with most recent deliveries or invoices. If they have a problem see if it can be resolved. if not they must pay in due terms
Costs analysis; understanding costs, controlling costs. You know it's amazing how many times we go into a company and ask about costs. "Oh, they're under control, we cannot cut any more". We ALWAYS find waste. So look at all items of expenditure.
Cashflow forecasts – 90 day daily; annual forecasts- run them religiously; KNOW where your cash is every day.
